From first sketch to
something worth wearing.

Every piece begins with a line, a thought and a sense of place—but a good idea still has to become something people genuinely want to wear.

The first sketches explore proportion, placement and how the Yorkshire Heart identity can sit naturally on a garment. We keep returning to one question: does the design feel considered, or has something been added simply for the sake of it?

Colour and cloth come next. Forest green, burgundy, navy, black and cream reflect the landscapes and working heritage behind the brand. Comfort matters just as much as appearance, so the finished piece must feel dependable and easy to live in.

The process is deliberately unhurried: sketch, refine, test and remove anything that does not earn its place. The result should feel distinctive without becoming difficult—something made with purpose and worth wearing often.
